On Friday night, Kaylin Chain was crowned Homecoming Queen at Mt. Pleasant High School in Pennsylvania.
Why is this news? Because she accepted the crown during half-time of the football game.
Why is that news? Because Kaylin is the kicker for the team and she was crowned Homecoming queen in shoulder pads and cleats.
After the ceremony, the Mt. Pleasant football team went on to win the game. You Go Girl!

I remember reading a similar story a few years ago. Kicker crowned homecoming queen at half-time... But I seem to remember it being more of a local story.
