That is part of the opening sentence of a news story and I have to admit I didn't know the words "Yangon" "Myanmar" or "junta". I have looked them up since then, of course, but that's not the point. I didn't know that the nation of Burma had changed it's name to Myanmar in 1989. Wow. That's pretty weak of me!

This Is Embarrassing.....
Want to hear something about me that is sad? I normally consider myself a person of "a-bit-better-than-average" intelligence, but today as I was browsing through the news I came across the following sentence - "YANGON (AFP) — Myanmar's junta slapped dusk-till-dawn curfews on the country's two largest cities....."

It's hard enough keeping up with countries that constantly want to kill us, let alone the dozens of tiny entities that are trying to kill eachother.
Also, stop reading the news. It's bad for you.
Reuter's Oddly Enough is the only non-tech news you are allowed to read if you don't want to be completely depressed or pissed 24x7.
Yes, I realized I posted about a news headline yesterday. :)
And yes I realize I comment way too much and the e-mail notifications are driving you crazy.
ha ha! Show's what you know - I don't get enough traffic to warrent having email notifications.
Less traffic is why you WANT e-mail notifications. If you constantly have comments, you check them daily. If you only get one every few days, you want to know when! Come on, be a little more obsessive here. :)
sheesh, I spelled warrant wrong in my above comment. It's getting easier to see just how long I've been out of school.
way to go looser!
(did that on porpouse, sware)
